As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over two decades of clinical experience I work with attorneys and high-performing professionals whose success often coexists with significant internal pressure, burnout, mental health challenges, and substance use. My work focuses on the intersection of professional functioning and the underlying patterns that can quietly compromise well-being over time.
I specialize in high-functioning substance use and process addictions, integrating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, somatic modalities, and structured relapse prevention, alongside insight-oriented work. This allows for both practical skill-building and deeper exploration of the patterns that sustain substance use.
My approach is collaborative, confidential, and individualized. I incorporate mindfulness and emotional regulation strategies to support both mental health and recovery, while also working with couples, families, and loved ones impacted by substance use. Whether supporting the individual or their support system, my goal is to help clients achieve lasting stability—strengthening relationships, improving overall functioning, and fostering sustainable, long-term well-being in both their personal and professional lives.
Shannon is not in network with insurance. After each therapy session, you will receive an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement for an out-of-network provider. Each month, you will also receive a more detailed bill, called a “superbill,” that you can use to request reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company for more information about benefits for out-of-network providers.
I have worked in varied therapeutic settings in my clinical career. Including inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities for substance use. mental health, and trauma. Working with diverse populations and families throughout my career to my current position in private practice. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, helping clients gain clarity, develop effective coping strategies, and work through the underlying patterns that impact both their well-being and relationships.
